Principal Dentist and Practice Owner: Malcolm L Burgess BDS (Dundee) GDC registration number 103022
Malcolm graduated from Dundee university in 2006 and, apart from a year spent working in Australia, has been working continuously in central Scotland. In summer 2021 he became owner and principal dentist at High Street Dental Centre. Malcolm is passionate about dentistry and strives to provide exceptional care to his patients. When not working he enjoys surfing, hillwalking, cycling, playing guitar and spending time with his young family.
Andrew N Boggon BDS (Dundee) MFGDP(UK) GDC registration no. 61656
Andrew qualified at Dundee University in 1986. He joined the practice as an Associate in 1988 following a year working at the Dental Hospital in Dundee. In 1993 he became a full Partner and in 1994 he was appointed Vocational Trainer associated with the North East VT Scheme. He served as a Trainer for thirteen years and still serves on the NHS national selection panel for Vocational Trainers, and hosts clinical outreach students from Dundee. His clinical interests include restorative dentistry, fixed and removable orthodontics and clinical photography.
Andrew is married to Janice and they have three lively children. Family life and church involvement keep him fairly busy, but his passion for climbing, hill walking and cycling still draw him to the great outdoors whenever possible.
Gareth D Blair BDS (Dundee) GDC registration no. 208978
Gareth qualified at Dundee University in 2011 and, following a year in General Practice in Carnoustie, joined the practice in August 2012. In the summer of 2010 he worked aboard the Amazon Hope ship in Peru as a volunteer dentist undertaking routine and emergency dental care in the Amazon basin. His clinical interests include fixed and removable prosthodontics.

Janice N Boggon BDS(Dundee) MFDS RCS(Edin) GDC registration no. 72085
Janice qualified at Dundee University in 1996. She worked in the practice for one year before pursuing a career in Oral Surgery, initially at Dundee Dental Hospital and Ninewells Hospital. She is currently based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as a Specialist Doctor working in the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit. She is involved in teaching both postgraduate and undergraduate dental and nursing students. Her interests are Oral Surgery and care of the anxious patient. She is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and can provide conscious sedation for anxious patients.
Janice is a busy mother of three, an Elder in Stonehaven Fetteresso Church and enjoys running and cake decorating.
Brenda J Burden Diploma Dental Hygiene RCS Edin 2001 GDC No 5970
Brenda joined the practice as Dental Hygienist in August 2015. She started her dental career as Trainee Dental Nurse at Dundee Dental Hospital in 1997, qualifying with merit in 1999. She then came to work with us as a Dental Nurse for a few months before returning to Dundee Dental Hospital in Jan 2000 to study for her Diploma in Dental Hygiene. Brenda worked in private practices in Aberdeen up until July 2013 when she took a career break for family reasons. Brenda enjoys building confidence in nervous patients and has a strong interest in educating patients on the prevention of gum disease and tailoring this to their individual needs. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 boys, walking, cooking, holidays and attending music concerts.
